MoneyWorks Privacy Policy

When you use our website or use our MoneyWorks software, we will be collecting some information on you and how you use our products. We hold this information private, and will not disclose it to any third party unless required to by law. We do not collect personal information such as date of birth or social security numbers.

Information we collect if you are just browsing our website

If you are just browsing the website, we collect the same basic information that most websites collect using common internet technologies such as cookies and web server logs. We collect this data from everybody, whether they have an account or not. The cookie we use only stores your selected country information.

We also use Google Analytics to track how people access and navigate through the website. Google may collect and store additional data, such as your IP address, browser, OS version etc.

Information we collect if you are using our desktop software

The information that we require when you purchase or register your software is your contact name, postal address and contact email. This is used solely so that we can contact you, or verify that you are a legitimate owner of the software. You can optionally provide other information, such as your industry type, to help us understand our customers better.

Information we collect if you use a MoneyWorks subscription service

When you subscribe to a MoneyWorks product or service, we require additional billing information. This is normally credit card details, but can be a direct debit or similar. We do not store credit card information: it is stored using industry standard encryption by DPS, our payment provider.

Information automatically collected when you use MoneyWorks

The MoneyWorks software will periodically check our servers for software updates, subscription details and for information that we need to make you aware of. In certain situations we collect your IP address, operating system version and platform. This information is used internally to check for software piracy.

Additional information collected in the UK on behalf of HMRC

If you use MoneyWorks HMRC Connect, we are required by UK law to collect other data about your computer and network to assist with fraud prevention. We do not see this information, but pass it directly to HMRC whenever you submit a VAT return. For more information on what is collected refer to HMRC Fraud Prevention Data.
