Searching the Wiki

The wiki has a powerful, google-like search capability, allowing you to search for pages that contain, or do not contain, combinations of words.

To search

  1. Click the search navigator link

The search box will open

  1. Enter the terms you want to search for and click OK

The results will be shown.

The search in the above example would display all pages containing the word "Payables" along the following lines:

Notes on searching:

  • Searching is not case sensitive.
  • The search is a word search only. You cannot search for punctuation or special characters.
  • Multiple words act as an "AND" search. For example searching for payables overdue will find all pages with the the words payables and overdue (they need not be adjacent). This is equivalent to searching for payables AND overdue.
  • To find adjacent words, use +, or enclose the search in double quotes. For example overdue + payables will match overdue payables, but not payables that are overdue. This is equivalent to searching for "overdue payables".
  • Append an asterisk to a word to act as a wild card. For example searching for pay* will find all pages with words starting with pay (e.g. pay, payment, payable, payables).
  • Use NOT to find pages with the first term and not the second. For example payable* NOT receivable* would find pages with words starting with payable that do not also have words starting with receivable.
  • Use OR to find pages with either term, e.g. payable* OR receivable*.
  • Note that AND, NOT and OR must be in uppercase in your search.
